hi i have been doing digi scoping for a few years but want to get into "real" photography. i dont really know much at all about it and dont know what slr would be a good one to start out with. has anyone got any thoughts on what camera and lens i should start out with?
All of the entry level DSLRs are more than capable to taking decent photos, a much bigger decision is which lens to use... It's worth looking at the complete system when deciding what to go for. Canon and Nikon tend to be the favourites for bird photography, mainly because of the number of good quality lenses available for these systems. The best bet may be to try and a few cameras out at a shop and see which one feels right in your hand.
thanks for the reply has anyone got any thoughts on a decnt lens to start up with?
