Teleconverter test

I did some testing with my camera gear over the weekend at Marshside and a little bit surprised with the results.

The light was poor on Saturday for the water marker so I popped back there on Sunday morning when the light was much better for a bit more testing. I have to say though, although I would 'nt be using 2 TCs all the time, the extra reach is very useful sometimes if push comes to shove. As far as I can tell the IS still works but the AF is a little slower as you would expect.

Here are the results of the water marker

1st - Focal 300 F4
1/1600
ISO 200
No TC

2nd - Focal 420 F5.6
1/ 800
ISO 200
1.4 TC

3rd - Focal 588 F6.3 equivelant
1/250
ISO 200
1.4 +1.4 TCs stacked

And the birds? What did you use for them. What type equipment did you actually test here? I think the results are fabulous. Even the two TCs. Amazing.

Good point there swissboy, thanks for pointing that out.
