Visited my brother the other day and got to try out his new camera, a Panasonic Digital Palmcorder PV-DV953.

Not only is it a very good 3-cccd video camera but it also takes very respectable three mega pixel stills. As a still camera it is slow, about like a 3 meg P&S camera of about 2 years ago with a 10X optical zoom. I'm thinking that some birders might want to look into a small light camera like this for decent record shots and well above average video. Less then $1,000.00 U.S.
It has excellent macro capability also.
