Hi all, I am relatively new to this bird watching lark although I have had a fascination for birds for as far back as I can remember, when I was nine I made a will and left all my money to the RSPB!!!
Anyway, I have no kit whatsoever other than a basic digital camera and some very old binoculars.
I have been reading the binocular forum and I quite fancy the Hawke Frontier ED bins but I have no idea of what camera to get.
I am really interested in Birds of Prey so will probably want to take photos of birds in flight or quite a way away.
Could you please give me some advice on camera and lens choice
Thanks
It would really depend on how much you are prepared to spend.
Agree with JohnZ. One more note is that bird photo, and even more so flight photos tend to be a little more technically demanding than regular snapshots, so you may want to make a commitment to understand a little more about cameras before you commit to buying one. The all automatic setting will get you started, but most people experience some images they feel should have been better, and that is where it helps to know what you are doing.
