Spent today at Titchwell and surrounding area in the rain, so decided to leave my camera in the car, to prevent damage. Just wondering if any of you use waterproof camera & lens covers? Those with cameras today did not appear to use anything. Have seen some insulated / waterproof covers on ebay for about £20. Just wondering if they are of benefit? Missed some super shots but more worried about my equipment getting wet. Any thoughts welcome.
Cheers
Hi Hippo,
Try wildlifewatching supplies, they do an execellent version for camera and lens attached, not the cheapest but very good.It fits over the body and lens and you can get to the camera controls very easy.Camo one side and dark green the other.
Can't remember their web address, but try www.wildlifewatchingsupplies.com

Yep I bought one for my D200 and smaller lenses (70-200 and 300/4), works a treat, one tip though. you've gotta keep the back open to hold the camera so I have tried 2 different thing to aid protection either wrap the back of the body in cling film or get one of those shower caps you get in hotel rooms and place it on the back, the elastic naturally forms around the lens so any stray rain drops won't effect the back of the camera
