Sigma 50-500mm Bigma Lens Hood Tip

Hi Guys,
To save damage to your plastic lens hood (standard on Bigmas cost £40+ to replace) get yourself a cheap metal 86mm screw on Lens Hood (i got one on Ebay for £5.00 they come up all the time) not only does it protect your front lens but you can glue some Realtree Camo fabric or similar onto it (helps to while using hides and looks pretty cool too) i will put a picture up of mine.
Beats paying out £40+ for a new plastic one?
Cheers
Brian

That sounds like good advice Brian. Last December I dropped the lens hood from my Sigma 170-500 on to the concrete path at Beer and it cost £21 to replace. I have since bought a Bigma and I would hate to have to pay £40+ if the same thing happened again, it is so easy to do when you are in a hurry . Roger
